South
Kensington, London
The South Ken dojo, run by Seymour Yang, is a small but friendly environment
to practice and learn ju-jitsu. We believe the art is suitable for people
of all backgrounds, gender, race or ability. As long as you are over
18 and willing to train on a regular basis, we welcome you. As modern
ju-jitsu is such a diverse and wide-ranging martial art - we like to
offer as much opportunity to practice these as possible. One week we
may be twirling nunchukas, another week will find us grappling in groundfighting,
and yet another may take us into the more quiet pace of practicing katas.
Most important of all however, we always have time to drill our syllabus
oriented techniques each week. Training sessions are every Tuesday at
7.30pm prompt, but once a month we have to switch dates.

Imperial
Women
The Stoke Newington, N16, dojo is a women only class run by Sensei Marie-Paule
Ahanda, 2nd dan. Ju-jitsu is a martial art especially suited to women
practitioners as it offers skills and techniques that do not rely on
brute strength. Marie-Paule is a testament to that fact, ably demonstrating
that good ju-jitsu technique and timing can overcome raw aggression.
This dojo was started with the recognition that some women prefer to
learn self-defence and ju-jitsu in a female only environment. Training
sessions are every Tuesday evening 7pm - 9pm.
Imperial
Kent
